Carrier Registration
Thank you for your interest in becoming a transportation provider for Spot Freight Inc. Below are some of the key requirements in order for your company to register with Spot.
Carrier Key Requirements
- Provide a valid MC/MX or USDOT number to begin the registration process.
- This registration, and Spot’s Broker-Carrier Agreement, must be completed by an employee that is authorized to enter your company into legally binding transportation agreements.
- Provide a copy of your W-9 or W-8BEN.
- For hazmat-certified carriers, provide a copy of your hazardous materials certificate.
- Provide a Certificate of Insurance that meets the minimum requirements below:
- Auto Liability of $1,000,000
- All Risk Cargo of $100,000
- Workers Compensation of $50,000 (when applicable)
- Comprehensive General Liability of $2,000,000
- A copy of our insurance certificate sent to transportation@truckstop.com listing the following as the certificate holder:
- Registry Monitoring Insurance Services

- Registry Monitoring Insurance Services
- Insurance Exclusions – no exclusions for the following:
- Unattended or unattached vehicles
- Mechanical refrigeration
- Spoilage of cargo
- Electric equipment
- No deductible above $10,000 – unless approved
