CARRIER OF THE MONTH: Global Freight Transportation Inc.

September 1, 2023

Carriers are the backbone of our success. With our carriers, we can offer our shippers the quality and reliability they’ve come to expect from us.

Spot’s Carrier of the Month for August is Global Freight Transportation Inc., which provides excellent service, and we know that when they book a load, it’s in good hands. Establishing such a good relationship with a carrier like Global Freight Transportation has been a pleasure, and we look forward to continuing to do business with them!

Read more below about Global Freight Transportation’s take on the transportation industry.

Tell us about your founding (year, why you started, etc.): Our company was founded in January 2015 by a 34-year-old Ukrainian immigrant who came to the United States with the dream of starting his own business. After working as dispatchers for several years, we saw an opportunity to provide a better service to our clients. Our company is committed to providing our clients with the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

What does your company specialize in (i.e., modes, areas of the country, etc.)?: We specialize in dry van freight, with our primary route being from Chicagoland to Pennsylvania and back.

Why do you enjoy working with Spot?: We have been very pleased with our experience working with Spot. Their portal is user-friendly and efficient, and Dylan Jones has been an outstanding point of contact. He is always responsive and helpful and has gone above and beyond to meet our needs.

What do you do to pass the time while on the road?: While on the road, we pass the time by watching TV, working out, and communicating with our families.

What would it be if you could change one thing about the transportation industry?: I believe that double brokerage should be banned. In our opinion, it is the biggest threat to the transportation industry.

What part of the country do you enjoy driving through the most? Why?: Pennsylvania has stunning natural beauty, but its hilly terrain can make for a bumpy ride. I prefer to stay in Ohio, where the roads are flatter and more evenly maintained.

What is your favorite part about being in the logistics industry?: We enjoy communicating with people all over the world. It is also gratifying to walk into a store and see the products we hauled on the shelves, knowing we played a role in getting them there.
