Carriers are the backbone of our success. Without our carriers, we wouldn’t be able to offer our shippers the quality and reliability they’ve come to expect from us.
November’s Carrier of the Month, Johal Brothers, is a newer partner to Spot’s network. In a short amount of time, they have gone from running 10 loads a week for us to now almost 30! Being able to watch them grow alongside us while servicing one of our largest customers is amazing to see. Read on for a Q&A to learn more about Johal Brothers and their take on the transportation industry.
Tell us about your founding: Our company was founded in 2019, however, we have been in the industry for much longer than that. My dad was a truck driver and started his own business in 1995. Last year, we decided to start our own entity and have grown from having 1 truck to 14 trucks in just over a year!
What does your company specialize in?: We specialize in running dry van & reefer freight in the Northeast and to California and back, however, we will go wherever is asked of us. We look for long term, dedicated opportunities so that we are able to build relationships with our customers and serve them to the best of our ability.
Why do you enjoy working with Spot?: Our main paint of contact is awesome! We also started working with Spot during the coronavirus pandemic, and it’s been great to help out during the hard times.
What do you do to pass time while on the road?: I don’t drive specifically, but it’s always my number one goal to check in with our drivers to make sure that everything is going OK while on the road.
