Read more below about Miles Freight’s take on the transportation industry.

Tell us about your founding (year, why you started, etc.): Miles Freight officially went into business in February 2020. We have four partners, and our partner Saul is an operator.

What does your company specialize in (i.e., modes, areas of the country, etc.)?: At Miles Freight, we mainly specialize in Dry Van across the United States. We additionally do run from Mexico and into Canada.

Why do you enjoy working with Spot?: The communication and professionalism have allowed us to build a great relationship with our contact, John Sokol, and the Spot team.

What would it be if you could change one thing about the transportation industry?: There are many things we would change. One would be how rates are calculated. Another would be the shipping and receiving processes; there always seem to be communication issues at that stage.

What part of the country do you enjoy driving through the most? Why?: At Miles Freight, we love driving in the Central United States and the Eastern part of the country.

What is your favorite part about being in the logistics industry?: Without a doubt, it’s playing a role in the national economy. I also see the limitless opportunities for personal and professional growth across diverse branches of our industry.

Anything else about your company or the industry that you think everyone should know?: The transportation industry needs to be restructured to be fair for everyone involved. Carriers seem to be the most affected by changes within the industry. We should aim for a more balanced and equitable industry that benefits everyone.
