February’s Carrier of the Month, Shatterproof Transport, has been a partner of Spot’s for about 5 months. In that short timeframe, they have proven time and time again how easy they are to work with and how great their communication is, which as we all know is key in this industry. When we book a load with Shatterproof and their main driver, Dexter, we never have to worry! Read on for a Q&A to learn more about Shatterproof and their take on the transportation industry.
Tell us about your founding: Our company was founded in 2009. My grandpa and a few of my uncles were truck drivers, so I figured I should join in!
What does your company specialize in?: We specialize in ensuring that there are never any issues on the loads we run. On-time delivery is also key!
Why do you enjoy working with Spot?: Spot is easy to work with, and they treat me with respect. I never have any worries when I’m on a Spot load. I also enjoy using the mobile app!
What do you do to pass time while on the road?: I talk to some of my friends & family. I enjoy driving so much that once I pick up a load and go, I sometimes don’t even notice how far I’ve traveled.
If you could change one thing about the transportation industry, what would it be?: I wish there were more brokers like Spot. They respect drivers and try to help out where they can. Drivers make the world go round, and Spot understands that!
What part of the country do you enjoy driving through most and why?: The Southeast. We’re based in Georgia, but I like driving through Florida and South Carolina.
What is your favorite part about being in the logistics industry?: I like working for myself, sightseeing where I’m working, and being able to travel. I’m a country boy, so being out in the country is great!
