SPOT ACCELERATES GROWTH, ANNOUNCES PLANS TO HIRE 200 SALES REPS BY END OF 2021

October 28, 2020

Spot Freight Inc. (Spot), a third party logistics company, announced an initiative today to hire 200 sales reps by the end of 2021 at its downtown Indianapolis headquarters. The roles will be focused on building relationships with trucking companies and manufacturers across various industries (food, beverage, automotive, health care, etc.).

“We welcome Spot’s announcement of 200 new jobs in Downtown Indianapolis,” said Indianapolis Mayor Hogsett. “This announcement is a validation of our area’s talent pipeline, as well as our high quality of life and business-friendly climate that encourage economic growth within our borders.”

Stemming off previous office expansion announcements in both 2016 and 2019, Spot now encompasses two floors of the former Jillian’s Entertainment facility at 141 S. Meridian Street. Adding 200 sales reps would more than double the size of its sales team.

“Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, Spot has been fortunate to onboard over 85 new employees as logistics companies have played an essential role in moving vital goods across the country,” said Andrew Elsener, Co-Founder of Spot. “This is an opportunity to be a part of a team that offers smarter transportation solutions to its shipper and carrier partners during a pivotal time in both the logistics industry and the world. We’re looking for applicants who are competitive, possess an entrepreneurial attitude, and are able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.”

Spot was recently featured on Selling Power’s “50 Best Companies to Sell For” list for the second consecutive year. The list recognizes winning sales cultures that excel in the following areas: compensation & benefits, sales training & sales enablement, and customer retention.

“In our quest to becoming an industry leader and solidifying our ranking as one of the top 50 freight brokers in the nation, this is an exciting time at Spot,” Elsener said. “Finding the right people to fill these sales positions will be key to our future success and continued expansion plans.”
