September 8, 2021

CHARLOTTE, NC (September 8, 2021)Spot Freight Inc. (Spot), one of the fastest-growing logistics companies in North America, is excited to announce the expansion of its Charlotte location to a larger office space. The expansion will support Spot’s continued growth and plans to hire 100 employees by 2025. The new office is located on the 22nd and 23rd floors of First Citizens Bank Plaza in Uptown Charlotte and represents Spot’s third office location in Charlotte. This more than triples the company’s office space, moving from 8,400 square feet at the Textile Mill Supply Co. Building to nearly 27,000 square feet.

“Spot is tremendously excited about expanding our Charlotte office to a location which not only fits our strategic needs, but provides our current and future employees with a fresh, new landscape to advance their careers,” said Andrew Elsener, Co-Founder. “This move is a testament to the growth our company has experienced since we opened our first satellite office in 2015 and marks the beginning of a new chapter as we continue to provide our customers with a smarter way to ship.”

As the tech scene continues to grow in Charlotte, Spot has also made a significant investment in the launch of its sister company and proprietary software brand, Red Technologies. Red Technologies is a transportation management solution that connects shippers, carriers, and drivers while providing complete visibility into their supply chain operations. As the logistics industry has continued to play a prevalent role during the pandemic, having the right technology in place to increase efficiency and streamline communication has become increasingly important. The company plans to hire for a variety of tech roles to support Red Technologies, including front & back end developers, UI/UX designers, and automation engineers.

Spot currently employs approximately 350 people in the U.S., including more than 50 in Charlotte. The company plans to continue hiring for sales and tech roles over the next several years and was recently featured on Selling Power’s “50 Best Companies to Sell For” list for the third consecutive year. The list recognizes winning sales cultures that excel in the following areas: compensation & benefits, sales training & sales enablement, and customer retention.

“This is an exciting time at Spot as we move forward with our aggressive growth plans, and finding the right people for our team will be key to our future success,” said Elsener. “We’re looking for applicants who are competitive, possess an entrepreneurial attitude, and are able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.”
