About Ellen Voie
Ellen Voie founded the Women In Trucking Association in March of 2007 with a mission to promote the employment of women in the trucking industry, to remove obstacles that might keep them from succeeding, and to celebrate the successes of its members.

Voie’s qualifications include a diploma in Traffic and Transportation Management (1980), a CAE credential (2005), a Class A CDL (2008), a Master’s in Communication (2015), and executive leadership and finance certifications from Penn State (2015, 2018). She also holds a Women In Trucking Professional Development Certification.

Voie has a proven track record in the trucking industry. At Schneider, Inc., she managed retention and recruiting programs, developing initiatives to attract diverse candidates and reduce driver turnover through improved communication and addressing driver irritants. From 2000-2006, she served as Executive Director of Trucker Buddy International, Inc., growing the organization into an internationally recognized mentoring program. She will also serve on the Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC) in 2021.

Since 2017, Voie has been hosting the Women In Trucking Show on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Channel 146 each Saturday from 10:00 am to noon central.

She has also been interviewed by major news networks, including Fox NewsFox Business NewsBloomberg News, and Voice of America.
