CARRIER OF THE MONTH: E&A TRANSPORTATION

January 13, 2021

Carriers are the backbone of our success. Without our carriers, we wouldn’t be able to offer our shippers the quality and reliability they’ve come to expect from us.

January’s Carrier of the Month, E&A Transportation, has been a partner of Spot’s since 2019. E&A has continued to maintain extremely high service levels on the lanes they run for us! We work very closely with E&A on a daily basis, and they have become not just a carrier partner to us, but also a friend. They represent everything we look for in a carrier, and we couldn’t appreciate their partnership more. Read on for a Q&A to learn more about E&A and their take on the transportation industry.

Tell us about your founding: Our company was founded in 2018 and is named after myself (Emmanuelle) and my wife (Amber). We are a family owned and operated business that runs throughout CA.

What does your company specialize in?: We specialize in production freight, hauling everything from cans to plastic bottles to beer. If it goes in a 53′ dry van, we can haul it!

Why do you enjoy working with Spot?: Spot’s pricing has always been very fair and remained consistent on not just our dedicated freight but other lanes we run as well. We also love working with our Carrier Sales Rep, Chris. He has become more of a friend than just a broker. I always call him my #1, but he really is. It’s hard to form a trusting relationship like that with a broker!

What do you do to pass time while on the road?: I do my own dispatching for 10 other trucks and occasionally bring my oldest daughter with me. She likes to travel when I go on longer runs throughout the state.

If you could change one thing about the transportation industry, what would it be?: One of the biggest things would be helping shippers and receivers understand the drivers a little better and be more willing to work with and help us.

What part of the country do you enjoy driving through most and why?: Northern CA is my favorite part to drive through. It’s beautiful up there!

What is your favorite part about being in the logistics industry?: My wife and I enjoy knowing that we are providing goods and materials to people who need them, especially in the last year since the pandemic hit.
