Spot Freight Inc. (Spot), one of the fastest-growing logistics companies in North America, is pleased to announce that it has ranked on the Selling Power 50 Best Companies to Sell For 2020 list [https://bit.ly/2N5yDn0]. This is the second consecutive year that Spot has been featured. Each year, the corporate research team at Selling Power magazine assembles and publishes its list of the 50 Best Companies to Sell For. This is the 20th consecutive year the list has appeared in Selling Power magazine, which has been in publication since 1981.
The list encompasses companies of all sizes, with sales forces ranging from fewer than 100 salespeople to companies with sales-force numbers in the thousands.
“Amid the current times, I’m extremely proud of how diligently our salesforce has been working to assist their customers in shipping goods that are vitally important to the needs of our country,” said Andrew Elsener, Spot Co-Founder. “This ranking further acknowledges our focus on hiring sales reps that are driven to succeed and are committed to a common vision of providing our customers with a smarter way to ship no matter the state of the logistics environment.”
To gather data, the Selling Power research team issued a comprehensive application with detailed sections covering three broader categories:
- Compensation and Benefits
- Hiring, Sales Training, and Sales Enablement
- Customer Retention
Sections were also provided for companies to spotlight any other information about their sales organization and culture that would help the research team fine-tune the rankings.
Spot’s sales team has doubled over the past year across its two offices with an emphasis on the continued growth of its location in Charlotte, which underwent a building expansion in 2018. The logistics company has also continued to develop its newly restructured training program to further prepare its sales force through a comprehensive 3-month training process that includes a combination of classroom training and working with a mentor who has been in their role for at least a year.
Selling Power magazine founder and publisher Gerhard Gschwandtner says this list is a critical tool for sales professionals to evaluate their options in an era of extreme change.
“Recent shakeups around the globe mean more top sales talent is available to hire, and potential candidates need tools to help weigh options and guide their career choices,” he says. “Each company on this list has created a winning sales culture in its own unique way, with the right tools in place to support a growth-oriented sales career over the long haul.”
